Jacksonville Arboretum and Botanical Gardens transforms into a magical wonderland with a million dazzling lights, shining forests, displays, sculptures, and more while you go through this three-quarter-mile interactive experience.

More than 40 American Red Cross life guard chairs were decorated this past year with coastal-themed designs and lights for the holidays. The event featured chair decorating, music, hot cocoa, and lighting ceremonies.

For nearly 20 years the Jacksonville Historical Society has hosted the Gingerbread Extravaganza which includes the traditional exhibit at Old St. Andrew’s Church as well as a holiday gift shop, bake shop, silent auction, and more.

Every year the ZOOLights provides a fantastical holiday light experience which transforms the zoo and gardens. It takes guests on a magical journey of the artistry of lights, sound, and nature. There’s light replicas of zoo animals, wildlife carousel rides, lights, music, carolers, and of course…Santa Claus!
